
Siftar Earns Runner-Up, Runnin' Bulldogs Finish Third at Mimosa Invitational

RESULTS
MORGANTON, N.C. – Senior Neza Siftar of the Gardner-Webb women's golf team earned a runner-up finish after carding a 54-hole total of 224 (+8) while leading the Runnin' Bulldogs to a 3rd place finish at the 2025 Mimosa Invitational.
Siftar finished five strokes behind medalist Bella Kent from Wofford, who tallied a 219 (+3) overall. Siftar opened her tournament with a 75 (+3) before shooting 74 (+2) in round two and 75 (+3) in the finale on Tuesday afternoon.
Senior Kayla Dowell also turned in an impressive performance, concluding her three-round event in a tie for 13th after a comiined total of 236 (+20). Dowell's best round came during the second 18 where she posted a 5-over, 77.
Junior Georgia Barr saw her stock rise by eight places over the final round as she carded a combined score of 238 (+22) over 54 holes. After firing rounds of 79 (+7) and 82 (+10), Barr was able to shave five strokes off her score with a final round of 77 (+5) for a top 20 finish.
Senior Vileska Gelpi finished in 26th after a three-round total of 243 (+27) while teammate Eva Bulger turned in a card of 246 (+30) during her tournament. Junior Katelyn Griggs and sophomore Bekka Mull rounded out the golfer for Gardner-Webb with totals of 249 (+33) and 259 (+43).
The Runnin' Bulldogs will return to action on April 13-16, participating in the Big South Championship in Fripp Island, S.C.
