CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Per release from the league office, Quentin Peterson of the Gardner-Webb University track and field team has been selected as the Big South Men's Field Athlete of The Week

Competing in the VertKlass Meeting hosted by High Point, Peterson placed second in the shot put at 18.46 meters, second in discus at 58.61 meters and second in and hammer throw at 56.82 meters. All three efforts rank first in the Big South this season, and Peterson now ranks third in league history in the discus while being tied for third-place all-time in the conference record book in the shot put.

This continues an excellent season for Peterson, who also previously won the Big South Indoor Track and Field individual title in men's shot put back in late February for the Runnin' Bulldogs.
