Alli Stidham has been named Big South Player of The Week, following an epic two-way performance for the Runnin' Bulldogs during the week of April 7th through 13th
Stidham it all for Gardner-Webb across six games with App State, ETSU and Presbyterian, scoring three individual wins as a pitcher and leading the Runnin' Bulldogs on offense. In the circle, the Saginaw, Texas native tossed 16.0 total innings for GWU, allowing 19 hits, eight earned runs and striking out 17 batters. Stidham's best pitching performances of the week include 5.0 innings, eight hits and two earned runs allowed against App State on Wednesday and 6.2 innings, eight hits, two earned runs and a season-best seven strikeouts against Presbyterian on Saturday.
At the plate, Stidham also delivered by hitting .444 for the week with eight hits, three doubles and a home run in 18 total at bats, scoring seven runs, and collecting 10 RBI. She was particularly good against Presbyterian, with a trio of multi hit games, seven hits in the series, three doubles, and six RBIÂ as the Runnin' Bulldogs swept an important Big South series.
Stidham and GWU return to action on April 18th and 19th against USC Upstate, hosting the final series of the season at Brinkley Stadium
