Boshoff Named Big South Freshman of the Year; Runnin' Bulldogs Land Three on All-Conference Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Freshman Arili Boshoff of the Gardner-Webb women's tennis team was named Big South Conference Freshman of the Year while a total of three members earned Big South Women's Tennis All-Conference nods after the league announced its yearly award winners on Wednesday, April 16.
Boshoff, in her rookie campaign, posted a 9-7 overall mark, including a pair of wins at No. 4 singles and seven wins as the No. 5 singles for the Runnin' Bulldogs. Bohsoff also teamed up with senior Emilia Roslund to pick up six wins at No. 1 doubles.
Roslund added to her own resume as the lone recipient of Big South First Team All-Conference Singles honors after compiling a total of seven wins at No. 1 singles for GWU, including a 4-0 record in conference play.
Rounding out the honorees for Gardner-Webb was sophomore Alizée Poulin, who was named to the Second Team All-Conference Singles after finishing the year 10 wins in singles action. Playing primarily at No. 2, Poulin also picked up a three-set win at No. 1 singles over North Carolina A&T.
