LEXINGTON, S.C. – The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team wrapped up a successful 2025 season with a runner-up finish at the Big South Women's Tennis Championship on Saturday afternoon at the Lexington County Tennis Complex.

The Runnin' Bulldogs fell just short against Charleston Southern, dropping the finals by a score of 4-1.

The Buccaneers came out strong with wins at No. 2 and 1 doubles to take the match's opening point. However, freshman Arili Boshoff knotted the contest at 1-1 after a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 5 singles.

Unfortunately, that would be the only point scored for the Runnin' Bulldogs as Charleston Southern picked up the next three singles points with No. 3 clinching the 4-1 win.
