HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb University track and field team returned to action for the second day of the High Point VertKlasse Meet, finishing the meet with a series of strong Saturday performances amongst several athletes
Junior
Jessica Perriello began the day for GWU, posting a solid time in the women's 1500 meter invitational. Perriello was fifth across the line, finishing the race in 4:41.45
Junior
Quentin Peterson was back competing after a strong Friday performance, taking on the field in men's shot put. The Big South Indoor champion placed second, recording a distance of 18.46 meters. Peterson was also second in discus throw for Gardner-Webb, recording a personal-best 58.61 meters.
Senior
Adrionna Coleman was the lead finisher for the Runnin' Bulldogs in the women's shot put event. Overall, Coleman placed 14th with a distance of 12.15 posted to the board.
Over in the women's discuss throw finals, sophomore
Zoie Johnson entered the competition for GWU. Johnson wound up taking sixth place, recording an impressive distance of 45.53 meters.
