Gardner-Webb Places Big South Best 335 Student-Athletes on Conference Presidential Honor Roll

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Per release from the league office, the Big South Conference has announced its 2024-25 Presidential Honor Roll and Commissioner's Award winners. To be named, student-athletes must have maintained a grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or better for the recently-completed academic year.

Leading the conference, Gardner-Webb set the top mark for all Big South institutions for the first time with over 85 percent of eligible student-athletes on the Big South Presidential Honor Roll, one of five members in the league to have at least 80 percent mark. In total, the Runnin' Bulldogs placed 335 of 390 eligible student-athletes on the list.

In addition, Gardner-Webb saw 41 athletes selected for the Big South Commissioner's Award, awarded to those who finished with a 4.0 GPA. Among those are six recipients from baseball, one award winner from men's basketball, three from women's golf, four from women's lacrosse, two from women's soccer, one from softball, seven from track and field, four from volleyball and 13 combined between men's and women's swimming. Individual Big South Commissioner's Award Winners from Gardner-Webb are as followed.

Baseball: Reid Bertram, Garrett Macias, Aidan Marino, Ethan Rossow, Carson Willoughby, and Dean Winters

Men's Basketball: Shahar Lazar

Women's Golf: Julia Buchgeher, Bekka Mull, and Anna Snoblová

Women's Lacrosse: Ella Bishop, Reese Jones, Lillian Martindale and Emma Meyer

Women's Soccer: Peyton Bryant and Lydia Robinson

Softball: Anna Hornbaker

Track and Field: Teryn Bour, Ashlynn Cassada, Adrionna Coleman, Selah Holcombe, Alena Ivanov, Kendall Reece, and Isa van Sintemaartensdijk

Volleyball: Morgan Hornaday, Molly Littlefield, Sloane Rooney and Rebecca Siedenburg

Men's Swimming: Justin Bender, Daniel Bennett, Manuel Brandner, Theodore Drescher, Jacob Jensen, Joshua Johnson and James Seip

Women's Swimming: Kaitlyn Estes, Sara Jann, Jasmine Kremer, Swalka Ndubuisi, Mariana Valles Chavez, and Alaina Yeater
