Greg Thiel and the Gardner-Webb University cross country team have announced its upcoming fall 2025 schedule, featuring seven meets for the Runnin' Bulldogs across the region
The Runnin' Bulldogs open 2025 with an evening meet at USC Upstate, with the annual Eye Opener scheduled for August 29th. GWU then returns to the upstate of South Carolina and visits Furman on September 13th, where the women will take the course at 9 am followed by the men's race at 9:45 that morning.
A pair of trips to Western North Carolina follow with the Runnin' Bulldogs at the Brevard XC Classic on September 19th and at Appalachian State for the Firetower Project Race on October 3rd. The Gardner-Webb women will take the course at 4:30 pm in Brevard and 5:40 pm in Boone, while the men will race at 5:15 pm in Brevard and 5:00 pm in Boone.
GWU returns to Spartanburg for a second time on October 18th for the Upstate Invite, before traveling to Farmville, Va. on October 31st for the 2025 Big South Cross Country Championships, hosted by Longwood University. The Runnin' Bulldogs will seek to qualify for the NCAA Southeast Regionals on November 14th, taking place in Charlottesville, Va. and hosted by the University of Virginia
