Tribune, Bryant and Lezcano Named to 2025 Big South Top Returners to Watch List

| By:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Per release, the Gardner-Webb women's soccer team has seen three players placed on the 2025 Big South Women's Soccer Top Returning Players to Watch List, including sophomore forward Anya Tribune, junior midfielder Peyton Bryant and senior defender Camila Lezcano

Tribune enters the 2025 season off the back of a strong freshman campaign. The Charlotte, N.C. native close to home was among the top first-year players in the Big South in 2024, scoring three goals, recording two assists, and leading the Runnin' Bulldogs with eight points. Tribune did so in just 994 minutes of action, while appearing in 19 games and making nine starts.

Bryant returns to Gardner-Webb in 2025 for her redshirt junior campaign. Bryant started 18 games and made 19 appearances for the Dawgs a season ago and was one of four GWU players to log over 1500 minutes on the pitch. The Mooresville, N.C. native did so without recording a single booking for the duration of the 2024 campaign.

Lezcano, now in her fourth season with Gardner-Webb, returns to the pitch as one of the program's most experienced players. The Miami, Fla. native has played 55 games in a Gardner-Webb uniform, including all 19 last season, 16 during the 2023 season and another 18 during her freshman campaign in 2022. Lezcano also tallied a pair of goals last fall, scoring twice against South Carolina State in September.

The Runnin' Bulldogs take the field on August 7th for the first action of 2025, taking on Furman in an exhibition at Greene-Harbison Stadium. GWU begins its regular season a week on in Deland, Fla. against Stetson on August 14th.
