MEN'S 6k RACE
In the men's race and in his second race as a Runnin' Bulldog, freshmanÂ
Brendan Athy continued to lead the way. The Holly Springs, N.C. native completed the 6k in 21:14, to place the best among GWU athletes. Just behind wasÂ
Kaden Pratt for GWU, with a time of 21:45. Other competitors for Gardner-Webb in the men's 6k race include junior
Austin DeGeorge who crossed the line in 23:27, sophomore
Michael Fletcher who completed his race just behind at 23:29, and sophomore
Cade Bright who was scored with a time of 23:53
WOMEN'S 4k RACE
In the women's 4-mile race, Perriello led the way in a big way, setting a new Gardner-Webb record for a women's four-mile race, in turn finishing the highest of all Big South athletes. Perriello's time of 23:35 led her to a 16th place overall finish in a field of nearly 70 athletes. Sophomore
Megan Devanny posted a time of 23:51 for 22nd place, sophomore
Emily Leatherman came across the line 32nd with a time of 25:00 flat, sophomore
