BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb women's golf team concluded the 2025 Elon Invitational with a 10th place finish after firing a team combined total of 892 (+40) over three rounds of action.
Senior Georgia Barr paced the Runnin' Bulldogs, finishing in a tie for 27th. After opening her tournament with a solid 69 (-2) she carded rounds of 73 (+2) and 78 (+7) over the final two rounds, respectively.
Sophomore Eva Bulger finished just behind Barr after shooting a 222 (+9) over 54 holes. Consistency was the key for Bulger as she tallied a 74 (+3) in round one followed by scores of 75 (+4) and 73 (+2).
Newcomer Elle Overly also turned in a solid performance in Burlington, combining for a total of 223 (+10), her best round coming during the second 18 where she carded a 72 (+1).
Senior Katelyn Griggs and Anna Snoblova rounded out the golfers for Gardner-Webb with combined scores of 228 (+15) and 235 (+22). Playing as an individual, Bekka Mull concluded her tournament with a total score of 236 (+23).
Elon and James Madison tied for first place while Radford's Mckenzie Weddle took home medalist honors with a 54-hole score of 210 (-3).
Gardner-Webb returns to the links on September 29-30, taking part in the Tot Hill Farm Invitational hosted by College of Charleston in Asheboro, N.C.
