GARDNER-WEBB NOTES
- The Runnin' Bulldogs are coming off a narrow 1-0 defeat Longwood to open Big South play last Saturday, September 20th
- Junior foward Olivia Tribolet leads Gardner-Webb in goals and points, with three goals, one assist, and seven points this season
- Freshman forward Ila Allred is also among the team's highest scorers with two goals and four points so far
- In terms of minutes, redshirt junior midfielder Peyton Bryant leads all outfield players for Gardner-Webb with 753 played
- In goal, senior goalkeeper Savannah Dixon has played all but 30 minutes this season, making 49 saves, tops in the Big South Conference where she's also seventh in the league with a 0.721% save percentage
- Senior defender Camila Lezcano is expected to make her 67th appearance for Gardner-Webb on Wednesday night, the most for the team
- Graduate forward Annie Slovak will make her 71st collegiate appearance on Wednesday night, between 61 at Liberty previously and now 10 at Gardner-Webb. Slovak has played at least 29 minutes off the bench in every game this fall
- The Runnin' Bulldogs hold an 11-7-1 all-time record against Presbyterian, and 11-5-1 mark in the NCAA Division I era of both schools
- Gardner-Webb won seven consecutive games in the series between 2016 and 2022 and were undefeated against the Blue Hose over nine games between 2014 and 2022, the longest such streaks by either team
PRESBYTERIAN NOTES
- The Blue Hose were picked sixth in the Big South preseason poll after finishing 2024 with a 7-6-5 record, 2-2-3 in league play
- PC made a surprise appearance in the Big South semifinals last season after upsetting No. 4 seed Longwood in a quarterfinal penalty shootout
- PC has three wins so far this season, coming against SC State, Alabama State and Alabama A&M, with the win over SC State the only one on the road for the Blue Hose
- Opening Big South play at home on Saturday, the Blue Hose conceded twice in the second half in a 3-0 defeat to Radford
- The Blue Hose have been shutout in each of its last three games and have just one goal in four games, the lone score in a 1-0 win vs Alabama A&M on September 4th
- Sloane Spees of Presbyterian is among the Big South leaders in shots, ranked second in the league with 2.56 per game
