DAVIDSON, N.C. – Sophomore Kaua Cressoni took home a win in the Draw E while teaming up with Boyd Schreiber to go 2-0 in the top doubles draw as the Gardner-Webb men's tennis team had a strong showing at the Davidson Fall Invitational on September 26-28.

Cressoni took down individuals from Wofford, UNC Greensboro, and Longwood on his way to the draw win. The top doubles flight also belonged to the Runnin' Bulldogs as Cressoni and Schreiber defeated Davidson, 6-1 and Longwood, 6-2 before the event was shortened for timing purposes. 

Overall, Gardner-Webb totaled 17 wins to 10 losses with records of 4-3 on day one, 5-5 day two, and an impressive mark of 8-2 on the third and final day.

"This was a great tournament with some tough teams", said head coach Mike Griffith. "Overall level this weekend was very high, and it shows the team what is required of them to win."

The Runnin' Bulldogs will return to action on October 3-5, traveling to the Queen City of Charlotte, N.C. to take part in the Queens Fall Invite.
