Runnin' Bulldogs Begin Four-Game Road Swing at The Citadel on Thursday Afternoon

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Gardner-Webb women's soccer team is back in action on Thursday afternoon for the first of four straight road games, beginning with a trip to The Citadel

  • The Runnin' Bulldogs are coming off a 10-2 win over SC State on Sunday night, the first win of the season for GWU
  • 10 goals scored are the most for Gardner-Webb in a single game and first double-digit scoring game since a 21-0 win over Allen University in 2022
  • Sunday night's win as the first time Gardner-Webb had tallied at least 10 goals in a game against an NCAA Division I opponent since a 14-0 win over SC State in 2002

  • Graduate forward Annie Slovak, who made her Gardner-Webb debut with 36 minutes as a substitute against Stetson has continued with significant minutes off the bench against Queens, Elon, Wofford, and SC State, will mark her 68th collegiate game between Gardner-Webb and Liberty with action on Thursday
  • The Citadel will be the first of four consecutive road games for the Runnin' Bulldogs, with match-ups at Mercer on September 7th, College of Charleston on September 11th and Longwood on September 20th to follow
