GARDNER-WEBB NOTES

• The Runnin' Bulldogs are coming off a 10-2 win over SC State on Sunday night, the first win of the season for GWU
• 10 goals scored are the most for Gardner-Webb in a single game and first double-digit scoring game since a 21-0 win over Allen University in 2022
• Sunday night's win as the first time Gardner-Webb had tallied at least 10 goals in a game against an NCAA Division I opponent since a 14-0 win over SC State in 2002
• Junior forward Olivia Tribolet was back on the score sheet on Sunday night, scoring her first career brace and adding an assist on her way to Big South Offensive Player of The Week
• Dating back to the 2022 season, senior defender Camila Lezcano is set to make her 63rd career appearance for the Runnin' Bulldogs on Sunday, the most appearances for the team
• Bryant meanwhile is due to make her 40th career appearance for the Runnin' Bulldogs while junior midfielder Lily Stegall will mark her 41st game for GWU
• Graduate forward Annie Slovak, who made her Gardner-Webb debut with 36 minutes as a substitute against Stetson has continued with significant minutes off the bench against Queens, Elon, Wofford, and SC State, will mark her 68th collegiate game between Gardner-Webb and Liberty with action on Thursday
• The Citadel will be the first of four consecutive road games for the Runnin' Bulldogs, with match-ups at Mercer on September 7th, College of Charleston on September 11th and Longwood on September 20th to follow
• 34 players would see the pitch for GWU on Sunday, including 19 minutes from freshman defender Emma O'Rourke, 26 minutes from freshman midfielder Eleni Lagusis, 17 minutes from freshman forward Ella Meccia, and 17 minutes from freshman midfielder Ellie Breitenstein, among several others
• Also on Sunday against SC State, the Runnin' Bulldogs went 2-for-2 at the penalty spot, the first two penalty kicks and first two penalty conversions of the season for GWU

SERIES NOTES

• Gardner-Webb holds an 4-1-1 all-time record as an NCAA Division I school against The Citadel, with the first draw coming last season in Boiling Springs
• The first NCAA Division I meeting between the two schools was a 7-0 win for Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs in 2001
• GWU won each of the first three games in a row in the series in 2001, 2008 and 2009
• The Runnin' Bulldogs most recent visit to The Citadel was a 1-0 win in Charleston August of 2022
