BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb wrestling team scored a key Southern Conference victory on Friday night, defeating Campbell, 25-17

After falling behind early, Gardner-Webb rallied in the middle weights to take an insurmountable lead. Nationally ranked redshirt sophomore T.K. Davis grabbed the first individual win for GWU, wth a 4:16 tech fall at 133. From 6-0, Gardner-Webb took a 14-6 lead after graduate student Dominic DiTullio won by fall at 141, and junior Drew Pepin by 10-5 decision at 149. By the time senior Josh McCutchen won by 4-1 decision at 197 pounds, the Runnin' Bulldogs took a 25-17 team win

Gardner-Webb also took on Clarion in action early in the day, suffering a 30-10 setback
