SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Per release from the league office and after another strong individual weekend, redshirt sophomore T.K. Davis of the Gardner-Webb wrestling team has been named SoCon Wreslter of The Week for the third time this season

The Rockmart, Ga. native improved to 14-1 overall and 2-0 in the SoCon last Friday night, beating Campbell's Logan Heil by tech fall (22-5) in 4:16 for a league win and taking a 14-3 major decision win over Clarion's Joseph Fischer. Davis has won 10 matches in a row, including nine straight by either tech fall or major decision. The defending SoCon champion at 133 pounds has recorded bonus points in 11 of his 14 wins so far this season, with seven tech falls. Davis is currently ranked No. 15 in the latest national weight class rankings by WrestleStat
