BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb wrestling team suffered a narrow 24-21 defeat on Thursday night, falling to Southern Conference foe Davidson at home

The Runnin' Bulldogs started strong in the lower weights on Thursday night, with redshirt sophomore and nationally ranked T.K. Davis scoring a 20-6 major decision over Marley Washington in 141, and redshirt sophomore Jackson Baglio winning by tech fall, 16-1 at 133. After freshman Isaiah Guerrero won by 3-1 decision in 174, the Dawgs had opened up a 21-11 lead with three bouts remaining. Gardner-Webb dropped each, including a pin at 285, as Davidson came from behind to take the match, 24-21
