
Bergeron and Zeiger Help Men's Tennis Sweep Big South Weekly Awards for Second Time

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb's Alexandre Bergeron (Montreal, Canada) has been named the Big South Men's Tennis Player of the Week, while teammate Noah Zeiger (Heildberg, Germany) is the Freshman of the Week honoree for matches played Feb. 2-8.
Bergeron helped guide GWU to a 2-0 week with wins at Chattanooga and Sewanee. He teamed up with Johan Van Wijk to pick up two doubles victories on the No. 2 court. In singles, Bergeron competed on the No. 1 court and earned two wins, including a straight-set triumph against Sewanee (6-1,6-3).
Zeiger also contributed to the 2-0 week for the Runnin' Bulldogs. He earned a pair of singles wins on the week while competing on the No. 4 court.
