| By:
BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb women's basketball team aims for a fourth consecutive win for the first time since 2023 on Saturday when the Runnin' Bulldogs visit Presbyterian

GAME INFORMATION
Game 26: Gardner-Webb (9-16, 6-5 Big South) at Presbyterian (3-21, 1-10 Big South)
Location: Templeton Center - Clinton, S.C.
Stream: ESPN Plus
Tip-Off: 2:00 pm
Series History: GWU leads 20-17
Previous Meeting: January 21st - PC, 50-46

THE MATCH-UP: On Saturday afternoon, the Runnin' Bulldogs meet Presbyterian for the 38th time in series history. Gardner-Webb had previously won six in a row in the series before a four-point defeat, 50-46 inside Paul Porter Arena in late January

LAST TIME OUT: On Wednesday night against Charleston Southern, Gardner-Webb scored an important Big South win and its third straight win overall, using a late surge to beat Charleston Southern, 56-44. Freshman forward Sara Menendez was the star for GWU, scoring all 11 of her points in the fourth quarter to catapult the Runnin' Bulldogs

BIG TIME PLAYER: Despite only playing 21 minutes last Friday and scoring just 8 points, Nyla Walker delivered maybe the two biggest plays of the season for Gardner-Webb at UNC Asheville. The senior guard forced the steal leading to the final change in possession, then calmly rose to knock down the game winning shot from mid-range, giving the Runnin' Bulldogs a key win on the road

SENIOR LEADER: Redshirt senior guard Jaelyn Acker was back in form in a big way against Winthrop, scoring 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting, all from three point range. The Furman transfer has scored in double-figures nine times this season for the Runnin' Bulldogs

SHE'S ON FIRE: In the win over Winthrop, GWU was paced largely by junior guard Amina Gray who shot her way to a career game. Gray poured in 27 points, hit 8-of-14 overall from the field, rained in 7-of-10 three pointers, with three rebounds, two steals and a block for good measure. Gray was at her best in the second quarter, where the Dawgs hit 9-of-14 from the field and 6-of-8 from distance on her way to a Big South Player of The Week nomination. Gray continued her good play with 15 points in the win over Charleston Southern on Wednesday

AROUND THE LEAGUE: At 6-5 in the Big South and currently the No. 4 seed, Gardner-Webb has now built a half game lead over 6-6 Charleston Southern and a two-game lead over 4-8 Winthrop. The Runnin' Bulldogs hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over each in the event of a tie in the final standings
