CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Gardner-Webb (5-1) men's tennis delivered a complete performance on the road Tuesday afternoon, earning a 6–1 victory over Queens University of Charlotte at the Howard Levine Tennis Center and running its winning streak to four consecutive matches.

"This match was a lot closer than the final score," said head coach Mike Griffith. "I expect Queens to win a lot of matches upcoming. We also appreciated all the support from our fans and alumni."

The Runnin' Bulldogs set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the opening point. The duo of Boyd Schreiber and Kaua Cressoni picked up a 6–4 win at No. 1 doubles, while Adam Patry and Noah Zeiger earned a decisive 6–2 victory at No. 2. At No. 3, Graham Bourne and Johan Van Wijk dominated from start to finish with a 6–0 shutout to complete the sweep.

Momentum carried into singles play as Gardner-Webb claimed five of six matches, with four contests going the distance. Cressoni battled through a three-set match at the top spot, closing out a 6–3, 0–6, 6–4 win. Schreiber followed suit at No. 2, grinding out a 6–4, 2–6, 6–4 victory.

At No. 3, Van Wijk delivered one of the match's most dramatic performances, outlasting his opponent in a third-set tiebreak to secure a 6–2, 4–6, 7–6 win. Zeiger sealed his match at No. 4 in convincing fashion, bouncing back from a second-set setback to cruise to a 6–0 third set while Graham Bourne added a straight-sets win at No. 6 to round out the Runnin' Bulldogs' scoring.

Gardner-Webb returns to the courts on Friday, February 20 as it heads to Colorado Springs, Colorado to take on the Air Force Academy. The Runnin' Bulldogs will also compete against Northern Arizona during the trip.
