PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: After a huge weekend for the Runnin' Bulldogs at the Jax State Tournament, freshman right-handerÂ
Glenna McLamb and sophomore third basemanÂ
Caitlin Colley of the Gardner-Webb softball team each landed Big South weekly awards. Colley batted .526 (10-19) with four home runs, 10 RBI, seven runs scored, one double and a 1.211 slugging percentage in five games, while McLamb was 2-0 in the circle for the Dawgs with a 1.47 earned run average and 10 hits allowed in 14.1 inning pitched across four appearances
HITTING STREAK:Â Though the streak came to an end at Jax State last weekend, sophomore second basemanÂ
Reese Collier opened the 2026 season with a 12-game hitting streak. The Coastal Carolina transfer, in addition to two walk-off hits and a sixth-inning triple in the near-comeback against Lehigh on two weeks ago, has multiple hits in nine games and at least one hit in 14 of the 16 games to open this campaign. Collier is currently third on the team with a .403 batting average, along with 25 hits and 18 runs batted in
RECORD CHASE: Through the first 15 games of the season, the 2026 Runnin' Bulldogs scored the most runs in program history, coming across the plate 113 times for an average of over 7.5 runs per game.
