BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - After a strong individual performance last week against Davidson, senior Justin Bender of the Gardner-Webb swimming team has been named ASUN Men's Swimmer of The Week

Bender was excellent for the Runnin' Bulldogs against Davidson, winning the men's 100-yard breastroke in 56.25 seconds and the 200-yard breast in 2:03.49. Bender also helped lead the Gardner-Webb men's 200-yard medley team to a win as well

Bender and the Runnin' Bulldogs now prepare for the 2026 ASUN Championships, scheduled for February 19th through the 21st in Orlando, Fla. The senior from Alpharetta, Georgia will look to defend his 2025 ASUN Men's Most Outstanding Swimmer award
