CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb's Alexandre Bergeron of men's tennis has been awarded Big South Men's Tennis Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Bergeron took down Big South Preseason Player of the Year Timeo Puech in No. 1 singles, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to clinch the 4-3 win for the Runnin' Bulldogs at Longwood. 

The Runnin' Bulldogs will return to action on Saturday, March 14, traveling to Statesboro, Ga. to take on Georgia Southern.
