CLEMSON, S.C. - After nearly two weeks off, the Gardner-Webb softball team returns to action on Tuesday night with a non-conference visit to Clemson

Tuesday, March 31st - 6 pm first pitch - Live on ACC Network Extra

LAST TIME OUT: The Runnin' Bulldogs dropped its series finale at Winthrop on March 21st, with a pair of late runs making the difference in a 3-2 loss in Rock Hill. Gardner-Webb now sits 3-3 in the Big South heading into this weekend's key series at USC Upstate

LAST SEASON: Gardner-Webb and Clemson are due to meet for just the sixth time on Tuesday night, with Clemson having won each of the previous five. The two schools have met each year since 2022, with Clemson taking last season's match-up, 11-3

STAR IN THE CIRCLE: Freshman right-hander Glenna McLamb has been leading Gardner-Webb in the circle in 2026. The Godwin, N.C. native has a 4.15 ERA to go along with six complete games, seven wins, and 56 strikeouts. McLamb has allowed two runs or fewer in 12 appearances this season, split between the bullpen and as a starter

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: After a strong week and a sweep of Charleston Southern, senior first baseman Maggie Knight became the fourth Gardner-Webb player this season to win Big South Player of The Week. Knight hit a .545 over the week, slugged .636 and had a .688 on-base average. She recorded six hits, scored four runs, had six RBI, one double and five walks in 16 plate appearances, going 3-for-3 with two RBI in the opener of the CSU series, 2-3 with three runs plated in game two, then walked and scored in the finale

BIG BOPPERS: Gardner-Webb has rode the strength off its offense for most of the 2026 season. Knight is second on the team with a .421 batting average, trailing only senior shortstop Annicka McLaughlin who's hitting .422 with 43 hits this season. Sophomore second baseman Reese Collier has also swung a hot bat, with a .417 average, and a team-best nine home runs and 47 RBIs

ON THE ROAD: The Clemson game on Tuesday night continues a nearly month-long road trip through April. This includes the Winthrop series prior, the single game at Clemson, another three-game set at USC Upstate on April 3rd and 4th, and a single game at App State on April 7th
