BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University men's tennis team learned its fate in the 2026 NCAA Men's Tennis Championship after the selection show on Monday, April 27.
The Runnin' Bulldogs captured the Big South Tournament Championship with a 4-3 win over Longwood last Saturday, and in doing so, has earned a date against Old Dominion in the opening round on Friday, May 1 with a first serve coming at 2 p.m. in Wintson-Salem, N.C.
Gardner-Webb finished the regular season at 17-5 while winning its fourth consecutive Big South regular season championship and second straight tournament championship.
Strong doubles play and consistent singles action will look to guide GWU to its first ever win in the NCAA Tournament. The winner of Friday's match will move on to play the victor of Wake Forest and Navy.
