FINAL RESULTS
FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. - Gardner-Webb wrapped up play at the 2026 Big South Men's Golf Championship on Tuesday with a sixth-place finish after three rounds at Ocean Creek Golf Club at Fripp Island Resort. The Runnin' Bulldogs posted rounds of 283, 291 and 284 to finish with a 54-hole total of 858 (+6) in a tightly contested conference field.
Gardner-Webb was led by a pair of strong performances at the top of the lineup from Jack Boyer and Jude Carper. Boyer finished tied for fifth overall at four-under-par with a three-round total of 209 after posting scores of 70, 70 and 69 while earning a spot on the All-Championship Team. Carper was close behind, finishing seventh at three-under-par with rounds of 72, 70 and a final-round 68, one of the best scores of the day for the Runnin' Bulldogs. Their steady play kept Gardner-Webb in the mix throughout the tournament.
Bradley Davis Jr. added a solid effort for Gardner-Webb, tying for 27th with a three-round score of 220 (+7). Davis carded rounds of 74, 73 and 73 to provide consistency in the middle of the lineup. Brandon Heffner finished 33rd at 222 (+9). He opened the tournament with a strong two-under 69 before closing with rounds of 79 and 74. Reed Burton rounded out the scoring group, placing 37th with a total of 225 (+12) after shooting 72, 78 and 75 over the three days.
As a team, the Runnin' Bulldogs opened the championship with one of their best rounds of the week, firing a three-under-par 283 in the first round to stay within striking distance of the leaders. Despite a tougher second round, Gardner-Webb responded with a four-over 284 in the final round, highlighted by Carper's 68 and Boyer's closing 69.
Presbyterian captured the team title with an 848 (-4), edging USC Upstate by one stroke, while High Point and Winthrop tied for third at 851. Charleston Southern finished fifth just one shot ahead of Gardner-Webb.
