
Boyer and Carper Named Big South Men's Golf All-Conference; Burton Receives Academic All-Conference

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Jack Boyer and Jude Carper of the Gardner-Webb men's golf team have been named Big South Men's Golf All-Conference as announced by the league on Thursday, April 30. In addition, Reed Burton was named Academic All-Conference.
Boyer, a First Team honoree, saved his best for last after finishing in a tie for 5th place overall at the 2026 Big South Men's Golf Championship, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team. The Greensboro, N.C. native played in 33 rounds on the year while maintaining a 72.63 scoring average, ranking 7th in the Big South. He also fired a low round of 66 (-6) at the Elon Phoenix Invitational while finishing in the top 25 in 9-of-12 tournaments to go along with four top 10 finishes on the year, tied for most in the Big South.
In his first collegiate season, Carper was a staple for the Runnin' Bulldogs, playing in 33 total rounds with a scoring average of 73.03 while being named Big South Freshman of the Week on five occasions, earning a place on the All-Freshman Team. He fired a low round of 67 two times this season and garnered two top 10 finishes, including 7th at the Big South Championships as well as five top 20 finishes.
Burton placed in the top 20 four times with a low round of 66 at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic. Burton carried an average of 73 while playing in all 33 rounds for Gardner-Webb.
