Despite a couple of App State hits and runs in the first inning, Gardner-Webb trailed just 2-1 through an inning of play
Down 10-1 in the third inning, the Runnin' Bulldogs looked to sophomore third baseman
Caitlin Colley for a spark. Colley singled to right, scoring senior catcher
Caroline Johnson and Tineo on a two-RBI hit. Colley cut the App State lead by that point to 10-3
With three runs in the fourth and six more in the fourth, App State eventually finished off a 20-3 game in the fifth
For Gardner-Webb, Tineo finished 1-for-2 with two runs scored, a walk, and an RBI, senior first baseman
Maggie Knight went 1-for-3 at the plate, Colley was 1-for-2 with two RBIs, and Johnson was 1-for-2 with a run scored. Gardner-Webb finished with three runs on six hits
