CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb's Alexandre Bergeron (Montreal, Canada) has been named the Big South Men's Tennis Player of the Week, while teammate Noah Zeiger (Heildberg, Germany) was named the Freshman of the Week for matches played March 30-April 5, it was announced today.
 
Bergeron was dominant during a 7-0 blanking of UNC Asheville, as he won matches at No. 2 doubles and No.1 singles. His singles match versus Jim Mens was a straight-set win, 6-1, 6-0.  
 
Zeiger helped guide the Runnin' Bulldogs to their fourth-straight regular season conference championship after winning at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles during a 7-0 victory over UNC Asheville.  He teamed with Bergeron for a 6-3 doubles triumph, then won in straight sets in his singles match by a score of 6-3, 6-2.
