
Gardner-Webb Student-Athletes Post 3.45 Department-Wide GPA For Spring Semester

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - With the conclusion of the 2025-26 academic year, Gardner-Webb student-athletes combined to post an impressive 3.45 department-wide GPA for the spring semester
Of the 23 teams representing Gardner-Webb overall, 21 posted a combined team GPA of at least a 3.0. Of those 21, an impressive 15 finished the spring with a 3.5 or higher. Those include women's golf (3.87), women's swimming (3.75), volleyball (3.72), women's lacrosse (3.67), women's tennis (3.66), women's soccer (3.64), women's cross country (3.61), men's swimming (3.60), softball (3.59), women's basketball (3.54), women's track and field (3.54), dev team soccer (3.53), men's soccer (3.53), baseball (3.52) and men's tennis (3.50)
Of the individual athletes to finish with a perfect 4.00, four came from baseball, one from cheer, two from football, one from dev basketball, one from men's soccer, three from men's swimming, four from softball, three from volleyball, one from women's golf, one from women's lacrosse, six from women's soccer, four from women's swimming, one from women's track and one from wrestling
Individually, of 554 eligible student-athletes, 255 finished the spring with at least a 3.50 GPA, while 32 finished with a perfect 4.00. Overall, this means nearly half of all Gardner-Webb student athletes ended the spring semester above a 3.50 for the term
