2015-2016 at Gardner-Webb: Earned Gardner-Webb’s first ever at-large bid to the 2016 NCAA Championships at 149 pounds … Entered 2016 SoCon Championships as the No. 1 seed … 2016 All-SoCon selection … Was upset in the championship round at the SoCon Championships (3-1 decision), but earned the at-large bid … Dropped both matches at Madison Square Garden … Posted an 18-9 mark overall, including a 5-1 record in SoCon action … Was 7-3 in dual matches … Recorded three pin falls, three tech falls and four major decisions … Finished the season with 17 takedowns and nine near falls … Ranked second on the team in major decisions and pin falls … Did not wrestle until December 19 at Bucknell.

Recorded 18 of his wins by either fall, tech fall or major decision in a dominant debut campaign … Nine of his wins came by major decision ... Seven more wins came via fall … Had two tech fall victories … Wrapped up the season riding a 10-match win streak … Posted a 1-1 mark against North Carolina’s Joey Ward, who was ranked as the No. 2 non-starter nationally at 141 pounds … Picked up major conference wins over wrestlers from North Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, Northwestern and NC State.
High School: Was a four-year letter award winner at Cedar Cliff High School in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania … Was ranked as high as No. 20 in the 2013 Senior Class at 145 pounds by Wrestling USA Magazine … A two-time Pennsylvania AAA State placer and a three-time PowerAde Placer … Was the 2012 Pennsylvania State AAA Runner-Up and took fourth-place overall at the 2010 State Championships … Placed sixth overall at the 2011 Reno Tournament of Champions … Was part of the Big 14 three-times … Posted an overall record of 148-25 during his four years on the mat for Cedar Cliff High … A member of the Distinguished Honor Roll.
