2015-2016 at Gardner-Webb: Earned Gardner-Webb’s first ever at-large bid to the 2016 NCAA Championships at 149 pounds … Entered 2016 SoCon Championships as the No. 1 seed … 2016 All-SoCon selection … Was upset in the championship round at the SoCon Championships (3-1 decision), but earned the at-large bid … Dropped both matches at Madison Square Garden … Posted an 18-9 mark overall, including a 5-1 record in SoCon action … Was 7-3 in dual matches … Recorded three pin falls, three tech falls and four major decisions … Finished the season with 17 takedowns and nine near falls … Ranked second on the team in major decisions and pin falls … Did not wrestle until December 19 at Bucknell.

Recorded 18 of his wins by either fall, tech fall or major decision in a dominant debut campaign … Nine of his wins came by major decision ...
