After spending two seasons as a graduate assistant at Gardner-Webb, Bullard was tabbed as the program's new Director of Basketball Operations following the 2018-2019 season in which the Runnin' Bulldogs earned their first NCAA Tournament berth in school history. He maintained that title for two seasons before earning a promotion in October 2021 to Director of Scouting and Player Development. The latest promotion is Bullard's third of his Gardner-Webb tenure, where he has assisted in all aspects of the program's growth and success. "I am thrilled to promote Adam Bullard from Director of Player Development to Assistant Coach," said Craft. "He has diligently served our program in countless ways over the last six years. Adam is the consummate example of a great teammate and knows our system and culture inside and out. Our players and staff will continue to benefit from his effort and knowledge." Bullard also served as head coach of the 2018-2019 reserve basketball team, which played its inaugural schedule against other collegiate junior varsity programs around the region. Bullard joined Gardner-Webb after spending time as a student assistant at his alma mater, Western Carolina University, and in the high school coaching ranks at Blue Ridge Early College in Cashiers, North Carolina. Bullard completed a graduate degree in sports education at Gardner-Webb in 2019. He graduated from Western Carolina in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in sport management.
