Rachel Glazebrook

Rachel Glazebrook will begin her third season as an assistant coach with the Runnin' Bulldogs in 2018-19. Glazebook serves as the team's pitching coach, while also working with the hitters. 

In 2018, Glazebook's pitchers helped lead Gardner-Webb to a 29-29 record with a 5.21 ERA over those 58 games. Under Glazebrook's direction, senior Ashley Wark capped off her career as a Runnin' Bulldog by winning a team-high 17 games in 2018. 

Glazebrook, a former two-way standout herself on the collegiate level, joined the Gardner-Webb family after a stint at NCAA Division II Shorter (Ga.) University, where she served as an assistant coach.

Glazebrook was a graduate assistant in 2015 with the Hawks, helping the squad to a Gulf South Conference title and a spot in the NCAA Division II semifinals.Shorter finished that season with a strong 43-17 record, including a 20-12 mark in GSC action.

The Greenville, S.C., native finished her college career in fine fashion, leading North Greenville (S.C.) to a 28-17 record in 2014 and earning Conference Carolinas Player of the Year honors.

Glazebrook led the Crusaders with a .382 batting average and posted 10 doubles, four home runs and 32 RBI at the plate. She also walked 30 times and was hit by 11 pitches to forge a sparkling .524 on base percentage. On the mound that season, Glazebrook went 16-8 with a 1.94 ERA and 253 strikeouts in 181.1 innings of work.

For her career at NGU, Glazebrook batted .388 with 141 hits 14 home runs and 77 RBI. She won 45 games in four seasons and struck out 661 batters.

Glazebrook was named All-Carolinas Conference three times during her time at North Greenville.

Glazebrook originally signed with ACC member Georgia Tech after a standout career at Traveler’s Rest (S.C.) High School. She was named Female Athlete of the Year as a senior, helping the team to a conference title.
