Gardner-Webb University Athletics

Sam Schroeder joined the Gardner-Webb Athletics staff as the Director of Athletic Performance in January 2024. 

Schroeder came to Boiling Springs after a two-year stint at Tiffin University where he was the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Football team. Schroeder’s efforts helped lead the Dragons to an 11-1 overall mark, 11-0 Great Midwest Athletic Conference record, including a GMAC Championship and NCAA Division II playoff berth in 2023.

Prior to his time at Tiffin, Schroeder had stops at Liberty University and Austin Peay State University in 2021 and 2022. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Health and Human Performance from Austin Peay State University in 2022.

Schroeder began his career as an intern on the strength & conditioning staff at his alma mater, University of Kansas. Schroeder was a Fullback at the University of Kansas and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2020.

A Wichita, KS native, Sam and his wife Alexa, reside in Shelby.
