Haynie Soars To School-Record At East Regional

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sophomore Elliott Haynie had an outstanding day at the NCAA East Regional on Friday, recording a school record in the pole vault.
Haynie's mark of 5.06m (16'7.25") bested the record he set earlier this season of 16'6.50".
With his performance, Haynie garnered an 11th-place finish due to jumps. By finishing 11th, he has an outside chance to go to the NCAA Championships. However, it depends on who qualifies and what heights student-athletes qualified in at the various regionals this weekend.
The Bulldogs continue their action at the East Regional tomorrow as Jake Didion will attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the triple jump as will Jerel Langley in the javelin.
