Two Have Good Showing At East Regionals

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - On the final day of the NCAA East Region Championship, two Gardner-Webb student-athletes had solid showings in their respective events.
Jake Didion, a junior, recorded the ninth-best mark of the meet in the triple jump. On Didion's second jump of the day, he tallied an effort of 15.34m (50'4"). He fell just 7.50 inches short of automatically qualifying for the NCAA Championships. However, because he finished in the top 12, Didion will still receive considerations for the NCAA Championships.
Fellow junior Jerel Langley also etched his name in the top 10 in the javelin. Langley's third effort of the meet was a school-record throw of 66.70m (218'10"), earning him a ninth-place finish. He too, just like Didion, will also still receive considerations for the NCAA Championships.
The Bulldogs will find out if any qualified for the NCAA Championships next week.
