
CCSA Announces All-Academic Teams

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. The Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association has announced the student-athletes that have garnered all-academic team accolades, and the Gardner-Webb swim teams have combined to have 35 on the teams.
The GWU women's swim team placed 24 on the all-academic team while the first-year men's program had 11 on the team.
To be on the team, student-athletes had to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.
On the women's side, the following student-athletes were named to the team: Bryana Berish, Mallory Blessing, Victoria Bryant, Rachel Glenn, Leslie Hallquist, Whitney Hooley, Corey Hughey, Elizabeth Ketterer, Carrie Kibler, Kelly Learned, Beth Long, Sarah Mathis, Jaime McSteen, Isabel Olivas, Lindsay Palmer, Heather Roka, Kristen Sellers, Megan Sheets, Sarah Steadman, Sarah Stokes, Rachel Warkentin, Grace Whiteside and Virginia Yergler.
On the men's side, the following student-athletes were named to the team: Steven Caudill, Ryan Cermely, Kyle Hooley, Eric Kegley, Adam Middleton, Abram Miller, Michael Roka, Denaj Seymour, Saxon Simpson, Adam Suggs and Patrick Williams.
In the first-ever CCSA Championship, the Gardner-Webb men's and
women's teams each finished third at the meet.
