Terra Wilson Finishes Preparation For Olympic Trials

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Former Gardner-Webb All-America swimmer Terra Wilson is finishing up her preparation for the Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb.
Wilson, who recently swam a personal-best time of 55.83 in the 100m free event at the Charlotte UltraSwim Meet on June 8, will attempt to make the Olympic Team in two events. Wilson will compete in the 100m and 200m free events while in Omaha.
On July 1, the preliminary rounds of the 200 free begin at 11 a.m. central time while the semifinals start at 6:45 p.m. central time. Should Wilson advance through both rounds, the 200 free final would start just a few minutes prior to 7 p.m. central time on July 2.
On July 3, Wilson will compete in the preliminary round of the 100m free event. Should she get through that round, Wilson would compete at approximately 7 p.m. central time Thursday evening in the semifinals. The finals for the 100m free are Friday evening at approximately 7:30 p.m. central time.
During her time as a member of the GWU swim team, Wilson earned All-America honors in the 200m free in 2007. That same season, she picked up honorable-mention All-America accolades in the 100 free. In 2006, Wilson also earned honorable-mention All-America honors in the 200 free.
