Terra Wilson Shines At Charlotte UltraSwim Meet

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – While continuing to prepare for the upcoming Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb., that begin June 29, Gardner-Webb graduate Terra Wilson continued turning heads in the swimming world.
On June 8 at the Charlotte UltraSwim Meet, Wilson competed in the 100m free event, which was her last tune-up before the Olympic Trials.
After earning a spot in the finals of the event with a third-place preliminary time of 56.19, Wilson turned in a personal-best time of 55.83 in the finals. Her time was good enough for a second-place finish. Kara Denby, an All-American from Auburn, won the title after touching the wall in 55.22.
During her time as a member of the GWU swim team, Wilson earned All-America honors in the 200m free in 2007. That same season, she picked up honorable-mention All-America accolades in the 100 free. In 2006, Wilson also earned honorable-mention All-America honors in the 200 free.
