
Lady Bulldogs Projected Sixth in the Big South Preseason Poll

The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team has been chosen sixth in the Big South Conference's annual preseason poll by the League's Coaches, it was announced today.
The Lady Bulldogs, who enter their inaugural season in the Big South, tied for sixth with UNC Asheville by receiving 21 points.
Winthrop was chosen first with six first-place votes and 61 out of a possible 64 points. Winthrop finished ahead of Libertywho received one first-place vote and 51 points, and Coastal Carolina who also received one first-place vote and recorded 50 points. Charleston Southern finished fourth in the voting with 39 points, while Radford captured the fifth spot with 36 points. Presbyterian rounded out the conference with nine points.
The Big South women's tennis Conference season opens on Saturday, Feb. 16 with Gardner-Webb at Winthrop. The Women's Tennis Conference Championship is slated for April 16-18 on the campus of Winthrop University.
