
Gardner-Webb's Steven Caudill Named CCSA Men's Swimmer Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, NC- Gardner-Webb swimmer Steven Caudill has been named Men's Swimmer of the Week for meets competed from January 18th to 24th, as announced by the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association.
Caudill, a junior from State Road, NC, led Gardner-Webb to its first-ever victory against Conference rival and two-time defending CCSA champion College of Charleston this past weekend, 194-121. Caudill had four wins in the two day competition, plus a second-place finish. He won the 200 fly with a pool-record 1:53.93, which is the second fastest time in the League. He also won the 400 IM with a season best time of 4:18.73, and swam on both the 400 medley relay (3:34.24) and 400 free relay (3:12.43) teams. Caudill's second-place time of 1:58.90 in the 200 IM was also a season best.
Caudill is the second Bulldog swimmer to receive this honor this season. Junior George Partin was named Swimmer of the Week for the week of October 19th-25th.
The Bulldogs will return to action this Saturday as they host Davidson College at 1:00 PM at the Gardner-Webb Aquatics Center.
