Women's Tennis Falls at UNC Greensboro, 6-1, Thursday Afternoon

GREENSBORO, NC - The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team fell to UNC Greensboro Thursday afternoon by a score of 6-1 at the UNCG Tennis Courts.
Action began with doubles play, where the Spartans swept all three matches to earn the doubles point.
At the No. 1 position in singles play, Erica White earned a victory over Alex Whitehead (7-6(4), 6-3), yet that was the only point the Lady Bulldogs earned as UNCG won the remaining five singles matches to take the overall victory.
The Lady Bulldogs return to action Saturday morning as they host North Greenville and Pfeiffer as part of a double header. The match with North Greenville is slated to begin at 10:00 AM, and the match with Pfeiffer is set to begin at approximately 1:30 PM. The matches will take place at the Webb Tennis Complex, located on Gardner-Webb's campus.
