
Gardner-Webb Swimmers Compete at 2010 Charlotte Ultraswim

CHARLOTTE, NC- Members of the Gardner-Webb swim team competed at the 2010 Charlotte Ultraswim meet Friday, taking on several Olympians and national team members.
In the 100 yard breaststroke preliminary heat, Kim Zachensky swam with Rebecca Soni, who currently holds the world record in the event. The two were even going into the half way turn. Zachensky finished ninth in the heat, qualifying for Friday evening's B-final, taking 12th place overall in the event.
Other Gardner-Webb swimmers to participate in the event were Corey Hughey in the 50 yard freestyle, Casey Brutus in the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke, and Steven Caudill in the 100- and 200 yard butterfly.
