
GWU's Allum Goes 1-1 in Match Play on Wednesday at the 2011 Toronto Star Women's Amateur Championship

Toronto, Ontario, Canada - Gardner-Webb lady golfer Meghan Allum went 1-1 in match play in the Championship Flight on Wednesday at the 2011 Toronto Star Women's Amateur Championship tournament held at the Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Allum, who qualified as the No. 9 seed for the Championship Flight, with a two-round combined score of 155, +11, on Monday and Tuesday, won her first round of match play in the morning, defeating the No. 8 seed Brittany Davidson 5 to 4.
With her first round win, Allum moved on to take on the No. 16 seed Terrill Samuel, who had upset the No. 1 seed Meredith Fairbairn in first round action.
In the second round of match play in the afternoon, Allum fell to Samuel 5 to 4 to end her day and tournament.
