GWU Softball Releases 2011 Fall Schedule

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb softball team will kick off its 2011 fall slate this weekend at home, as the Runnin' Bulldogs will host Stanley Community College and Lees-McRae on Saturday, September 24th, at Varsity Field.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will play eight games over four weekends with the annual Alumni Game wrapping up the fall season on October 29th.
This Saturday, September 24th, Gardner-Webb will take on Stanley Community College at 11 a.m. at Varsity Field and then will turn around to do battle with the Bobcats of Lees-McRae at 3 p.m.
Gardner-Webb will continue its fall schedule the following Saturday, as the Runnin' Bulldogs will travel to Rock Hill, S.C. to take on the Georgia Bulldogs of the SEC at 1 p.m. and then Surrey Community College at 3 p.m. at Winthrop University on October 1st.
On October 9th, the Runnin' Bulldogs will return to Winthrop and Rock Hill, S.C. to face off with Stanley Community College at 11 a.m. and will then turn around to take on South Carolina at 1 p.m.
Head Coach Tom Cole's squad will then return home to host Limestone in a double-header on October 15th at 1 p.m. at Varsity Field.
The fall season will wrap up on Saturday, October 29th, as Gardner-Webb will host the Alumni game at 11 a.m. as part of the homecoming festivities.
