
Gardner-Webb Baseball Raises Nearly $7,000 To Benefit Childhood Cancer Research

SPRINGS - The Gardner-Webb baseball team raised nearly $7,000 for
childhood cancer research with its "BaseBald" event on Saturday
prior to the annual alumni game at John Henry Moss Stadium/Bill
Masters Field.
Gardner-Webb players, coaches and administrators gathered to shave their heads to raise awareness of childhood cancer research for the St. Baldrick's charity and BaseBald.
Team members and several special guests were honored at halftime of Saturday night's Gardner-Webb football game against MidAmerica Nazarene.
BaseBald is an organization that works through the St. Baldrick's Foundation to help raise money for childhood cancer research through head shaving events. St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.
