Gardner-Webb Baseball Announces Staff Updates Ahead of 2027 Season

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Head coach Jim Chester of the Gardner-Webb baseball team has announced changes to the Runnin' Bulldogs coaching staff ahead of the 2027 season.
In total, Chester has welcomed three new faces while a recent graduate of the of Runnin' Bulldogs baseball program will help to strengthen the mound for the Black and Red.
Toby Boevers was named Director of Operations after making his way to the Springs from Stillwater, Okla. and Oklahoma State Athletics. Boevers also played three years at the University of Wisconsin-Superior where he was a left-handed pitcher and outfielder.
Gardner-Webb's newest Director of Player Development will be Brady Doorey who recently finished his playing career at Florida Southern College. While with the Mocs, Doorey helped guide the team to a pair of NCAA Regionals while consistently carrying a top 25 national ranking.
Milton Dauber earned the title of Director of Pitching Development after a successful stint at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. During his time in the Sunshine State, Dauber acted as the Director of Analytics and Scouting.
Lastly, former Runnin' Bulldog Devin Pressley will join the GWU staff as the Assistant Director of Pitching Development. Pressley was a solid reliever for the Dawgs from 2021-2026 while graduating from Gardner-Webb with a Master's in Business Administration this past June.

We are also thrilled to welcome back Devin Pressley; his leadership and character will be infectious inside our program!"
