Gardner-Webb Encouraging Fans To Wear Red Saturday For VMI-GWU Football Game

BOILING SPRINGS - Gardner-Webb students, alumni and fans are encouraged to wear red to Saturday's football game against VMI as part of a special Code Red promotion.

The GWU marketing and promotions staff will select two students who wear the most red to Saturday's game, and the pair will each receive a free 12-pack of Mountain Dew Code Red soda during a first quarter media timeout.

The first 50 students through the gate will receive a free promotional t-shirt. Students are asked to enter the stadium at the gate nearest the team's helmet entrance, with that gate scheduled to open at 1:00 pm on Saturday.

Kickoff for Saturday's game is set for 1:30 pm. The Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2012 will be honored 20 minutes prior to kickoff and traditional Homecoming activities will take place at halftime.
