Gardner-Webb Earns No. 4 Seed For 2012 Big South Baseball Tournament

The Runnin' Bulldogs (30-26, 12-12 Big South) will take on No. 5 seed Radford at 9:30 am Tuesday, May 22, at High Point's Willard Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on the Big South Network (bigsouthsports.com), the subscription video streaming service.
Gardner-Webb finished in a three-way tie for fourth with Radford and UNC Asheville, and won the tiebreaker with both schools. The Runnin' Bulldogs won two games each against Radford and UNC Asheville this regular season.
The Runnin' Bulldogs advanced to the tournament championship game as the No. 5 seed last season, falling to top seed Coastal Carolina, 6-1 in Lexington, Va. Gardner-Webb has advanced to its respective league tournament championship game twice in the past four seasons - getting to the A-Sun title game in 2008 (15-inning loss to Lipscomb) and to the Big South title game in 2011.
