GWU's Byrum Earns CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholastic All-America Honors

Boiling Springs, N.C. - Gardner-Webb rising sophomore and women's swimming standout Charity Byrum has been named an Honorable Mention Scholastic All-American by the College Swim Coaches Association of America.
During her freshman campaign, Byrum maintained a 4.0 cumulative GPA and earned a spot on the CCSA's All-Academic team for the 2011-12 season. Byrum also earned All-Conference honors in 2012, earning Top 3 finishes in both the 200 IM and 100 breast.
The Winston-Salem, N.C. native was the runner-up in the 100 breast, achieving an NCAA 'B' time standard (1:02.37) in finishing 2nd at CCSA Championships.
